I'm afraid that if I read it, I'd be even angrier at our county - they still insist dogs must have a rabies shot EVERY year.
I take Tasha to a holistic vet who weighs Tasha's lifestyle, healthy, and age against which injections to give her that year (other than the required rabies).
I've thought about not vaccinating, but two years ago, a friend's cat who she never took for vaccinations, bit a tech at the vet clinic. The cat was already ill with failing kidneys, but because kitty didn't have a rabies shot, he was quarantined and wasn't allowed the fluids needed to keep him going. The cat died while under quarantine.
Either way, it is a no-win situation.
I'm glad for books like this that make everyone aware. Maybe it's the first step in changing some rules.
