OMG, he's adorkable with those ears! I'd have to nickname him Satellite!
Extreme confidence. Sounds like what my Akita boy Jack had. I'd rather have a confident dog than a fearful one. Extreme confidence: I learned quick. Thankfully, Akitas aren't high energy at all.
That, I got with The Ronanator. Best of luck to them! I recall lying in bed many a night and staring at the ceiling, wondering WHERE this dog got so much energy and HOW I was ever going to survive it. Lord, he'd SCREAM in his crate because he still wanted to do stuff. Walks, runs, didn't phase him. He didn't have the "YES! I can do that!" attitude of a Mal for obedience. Noooo. No ball drive or food drive. Just mischief drive. That's when i had to find ways to mentally wear him out before The Ronanator killed us all with boundless, mischievous, 18-hr a day energy. Heck, I finally repaired the walls he chewed as a pup just a year or two ago. Mental stimulation, and lots of it, saved us from ripping our hair out.
A baby Mal! They get the gold star of the day!
But what a truly great program!
