Excellent news!!!! He's a sweetie.

I don't see pit in him either. People see brindle and see pit bull (I get that all the time with Zoe). Brindling happens often in mutts. He looks like a little Shepherd mix to me.

Great news!!!
I hope the weekend goes well for them and they fall in love with him like you did. Boy his life would have turned out differently if you hadn't stepped in-- give yourself a pat on the back-- you really saved that little dogs life!!!!

Wow, what GREAT news!!! I'm so happy for Brodie and for the family. It sounds like maybe Brodie will be just the right dog to help the little girl work through her fears, too.

Thanks everybody... Brodie just stood on the right road at the right time so to speak.

He is going to stay with his new family this weekend as a trial run. They are positive that they want him, but I want them to see how it is having a dog for a few days to make sure it's 100% what they want, then they will officially adopt him on Wednesday afternoon!

His suture site is healing really nicely and he's hopping around just fine! Thanks for all the support and well wishes. They're working!

Dredging up the past, but Brodie passed away today. Wow, what a fulfilling rescue this one turned out to be. He was so spoiled for so long. I can't find any old photos of him right now. My old back up hard drive needs power and I don't know where the power supply is right now. But I am sad for his family who loved him just the absolute most. They ended up adopting two more dogs a year or two after getting Brodie. Quite the change as they are now full on dog people. Their kids both graduated high school and only one still lives at home. So much change! Godspeed, Brodie. I'm so glad you found me that day and that I was able to help you find such a wonderful family. I know you will be missed forever.

Wow, he had a good long life! I see from the first post in this thread that he lost a leg, but I can't find a previous thread to say why, or how old he was when adopted. Back story? Thanks for saving him and finding the perfect home for him, and my condolences to his family and you.
