Ronan's turnaround. Houston? We have a happy dog again.

It's been just over a year since Tasha's passing. Just before the anniversary of her death, Ronan brought out a toy and gave it to me. This is huge. He hadn't done this since Tasha's death. Better yet, we played. He chased and caught the toy, and we chased each other through the house.

He's perkier.

When we went on a week long trip to North Carolina, he was perfect. He didn't stop eating for a day or so like he normally does when we travel. He enjoyed his long walks and hikes. When we came home from a long day of house hunting or site-seeing, he wasn't freaked out, anxious, or otherwise bothered. He was just Ronan, happy to see us and ready for his walk.

For three weeks now, he's been like his old self. I suspect that: 1) the pheromone collar and spray I recently bought actually have an effect 2) the months and months and MONTHS of training, walks, and nosework have finally given him some confidence 3) any severe depression he had has begun to lift.

Maybe a combination of things? I don't know. I'm just glad to have my boy back - full of Beelzepup mischief, some confidence, and all the energy, curiosity, and sweetness that is Ronan.

Super news. I bet it is a combination of pheromones and your hard work lifting that deep seated depression. Marvelous!
