Training for CGC

Postby Bari » Wed Jul 29, 2015 10:10 am

I know haven't posted in forever but a quick update.

I have been volunteering at NKLA ( No Kill Los Angeles) for the last 6 months. We are preparing the CGC test being offered to shelter dogs. If the dogs suceed, the $10 fee is waived and that info goes into that dogs resume. Hopefully it will aid in the dog being adopted and not being returned. Not being returned is the primary goal. A lot of people adopt on a whim as you know but even serious adopters don't give the dog a chance to develop any kind of bond.

We hope to change that.

What an excellent plan! I've really enjoyed seeing all your new canine friends in your FB posts. I envy your retirement so much!

This is great! I'd think this would also motivate new adopters to continue on with training their new friend, too.

Good stuff, Bari. You sure have lots of adorable new friends over there at NKLA!
