Elsie has been feeling SO good with the Cartrophen that she went HERDING yesterday! That's a first for her, it has been on my radar sine getting her, but it wasn't realistic when I was living in Toronto... then since moving out of the city her back has been in such bad shape it wasn't really an option.
Since she's been so mobile I thought I'd give her a try, and she LOVED IT. The instructor actually said she hasn't seen a dog with this much natural talent in a LONG time, and had trouble believing that she's 12 and I've only had her for 4 years... talk about a boost! Toot toot on Elsie's horn! (especially since my dogs have been neglected since my whole life is put into my business, and anything extra goes to managing the foster dog... but that's another topic...) Elsie has found her calling! I thought she was going to get overstimulated and slam the goats and scream at them (like she used to do with dogs), but she was so appropriate. Holy smokes, could bring a tear to your ear to watch.
She's not even lame today. Right after her legs were shaking, her back toes were a splayed and her hocks were starting to drop (which has been better since the Cartrophen), she worked for about 10min so I was a little concerned. I'm super glad she's okay today.
And then I brought Arlo in, and as predicted he tried to make friends with the goats and then walked around smelling everything.
Unfortunately I can't post a video, so ya'll will just have to take my word for it!!!
