I'm asking considering our cat, but I suppose this could affect a dog too.
We buy the cat food that Just for Dogs makes, all we buy from them since Lady is allergic to just about everything.
It is a cooked product made of chicken thighs, Pacific cod, chicken hearts & liver, sardines. But it also has yucca root, which I'm guessing they peel, boil, then mash into the rest. It's a white looking package.
I googled it and read it could cause drooling or diarrhea in dogs or cats. My question is if this applies to the cooked root or are they talking about animals that might happen to eat uncooked root.
Our cat drools, I've noticed it for awhile now. He's 13 , neutered Maine Coon.
Do you think the drooling is from yucca root? Other thing might be teeth or something else?
