Lady has a serious red rash on her belly and her ankles look pink. Ordering Dr, Dodds Nutrascan. I called our vet yesterday to make an appointment only to be told Sally Lane was no longer there, got an evasive answer when I asked where she was. They didn't know. Same thing at Sherman oaks Veterinary group, she's not there, this time something was mentioned about her mother not able to be left alone, which that I understand. Calabasis is holistic, tynway has several negative reviews, so not impressed with her
Trouble is we need a good vet, we went to these offices specifically for Dr Lane who was excellent. The vet they put us with at Sherman oaks who took the shelter coupon just to get a new client, we're not so impressed with, rushed all the time, doesn't listen to you, so new they don't have a bio on her what her education is, I believe her father a vet works there and when you say the name they ask which one. This young gal is not dry behind the ears. Even had the thought to take her to Dr Dodds, people say it's worth the drive, but she's all booked up, leaving the country in November, not going to see some replacement that just wants to sell a tube of stuff.
So anyone recommend a vet in S. California? I've been doing tea bag poultice black tea on a wash rag, squirted her with some witch hazel a bit ago, then she rolled all around like it smelled nasty to her. Next idea diaper rash ointment, had a bottle of Parma sooth, but it's expired the area looked redder after using it, so ditched that one, she got a bath Sunday. Anybody see the pit bull enjoying a soak in a tub being fed treats on a Facebook video. Wish I could get her in a tub like that, I squirt her belly with the hose a couple weeks ago, turn on the water now she runs to the opposite side of the yard,
So suggestions on a vet or treatments. It might be a combination of crappy food she was fed in the past to environmental. We have chiggers in parts of the yard that like to eat me up and I think she goes there too. Thanks for any suggestions!!
