I can't remember if I actually asked about this before, it's been on my mind. My Mom is in a care facility now, and has entered hospice. This is the best thing for her.
There are times I need or want to bring Jazz (18 lb mix). She has caught skin infections from visiting these places in the past. I'm wondering what folks here might think are the best protections from this?
I will have to look up the shampoo I have, but I have been bathing her afterwards, but that isn't always feasible, and being furless in areas (like her chest), is hard for her when it's colder in the evenings.
After a bath, does putting a jacket of some sort on them while they are still wet promote things like fungal growth?
I was thinking of spraying a cloth with vetricyn and wiping her down, do you think that's helpful at all? Anything else better?
Someone made their own vetricyn? Recipe?
