I have a Pomeranian that I adopted at 8 weeks of age. She’s now 18 months old. I fed her Solid Gold dry puppy kibble and, at age one, transitioned her to Solid Gold adult kibble rotating with Farmina Ancestral Grain. When I took her in for her one year checkup she weighed 15 lbs. Too much! The vet wants her around 10 lbs. I have always measured her kibble and she got a half cup in the morning and another half cup in the evenings. I added a teaspoon of pumpkin since I had read that would help correct her habit of eating feces (hers and any other she found). She gets a few earned treats during the day. We were going to obedience training before COVID came along and she got lots of treats then but no longer. My question is should I put her on a weight control kibble or give her less of her current kibble? Would a weight control wet food be a better choice?
