I saw an entlebucher mountain dog at the conference as well as a borzoi.

Nice! I groomed an Entel years ago, don't know if I've seen one since.

I had to look that one up. They're cute little guys, like mini Swissies!

Back when all I knew about dogs was how cute they are, I wanted an entlebucher.

And borzois are gorgeous! Love them! If I was getting a big dog, they'd be on the list.

What the heck people. This is a photo thread. I don't believe you without pictures.

Sadly, several of the dogs I've added belong to students at the training facility, and I don't have their owner's permission to share pics, even on the rare occasions i have a pic
salt in the wound? There's a puppy in a current class that I covet terribly... a SMOOTH CHOW. and a GORGEOUS one.

NEW RULE?
If you're posting but for whatever reason do not have a photo of said dog you should post a photo of the breed from the interwebz. Just so us rookies (ie ME!) know what you're talking about.
What do you guys think?

I'll see if I can find pictures of all the dogs I saw this weekend - we were at a rare breed show, so it's sort of cheating.

I've only ever heard of the Dandie Dinmont before!
But now I want a Stabyhoun or Barbet.

Bug was totally in love with the Stabyhoun - it is a pretty neat dog. And the Kooikers are also pretty cool - a little bit softer temperament than a Nova Scotia Duck Toller.

I got very close to a lovely bouncy, young beauceron today

Luv a Beauceron! That's a breed that has earned me a grateful smile from the owner when I recognized their dog's breed. They'd had a bellyful of "Dobe mix? GSD mix? Dobe-x-GSD?" that morning.

There's a
Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen taking classes where we train, I need to ask the owner if I can take a pic...

Oh I love the Beaucerons. Trainer friend E's Dobe breeder recently got a Beauceron puppy, she's already doing really well at conformation shows.
