There have been Rat Terrier tested (a very small number). The first hairless RT was in 1971, with the first litter being born in the early 80s. The AHT was registered as a "Hairless Rat Terrier" until 2004, when the breed had sufficient numbers to become recognized as a separate breed by UKC. There is no way of knowing if any of those Ratties tested previously were hairless or coated (although doubtful - when talking to the head tester, he said he only saw RTs being tested in the Mid-West). So technically, even if the others were Hairless Rats, mine are the first AHTs that will show up in the statistics page.Yay for girl power!
Are AHT's really new? I thought they'd been around for awhile, so I was a little surprised that none had been temperament tested before. I love that your girls are so well rounded.
