Dora got her CGC!

I've been putting this off for awhile now, but an opportunity arose and we jumped at it. Dora performed every exercise like a pro, although the evaluator asked how old my "puppy" was and laughed when I said she's almost 5! ;)

It was miserable in Brooksville today - windier and colder than where I'm at. She would put her face into the wind and bark, as Collies will do, while I just hunkered down into my jacket. I hit a few vendors (all outdoors of course) and some of those tents were ready to blow away. A big gust of wind came through and slapped me in the face with a bunch of clipped leashes on a rack. Ouch. :(

you went to Brooksville? I had planned to go but it's a drive just long enough to make it really easy to decide to skip it.

Yeah, we ventured to the Florida Classic. It's the first CGC I've seen that didn't conflict with a UKC show. It's about an hour for me, so not too bad. I don't miss the hustle and bustle of the AKC shows though - I was tense as soon as I set foot on the grounds and I wasn't even showing! lol I'm much happier in UKC, both in conformation and performance.

Actually, it's probably the least impressive of her titles, but it felt weird not having it, considering the fact that I'm a CGC Evaluator! lol

It was probably in the 40s if you add in the wind chill. I didn't say it was the coldest, but it was windy and miserable nonetheless. ;)

hahaha, I'm permenantly in my long underwear all winter, I'm cold at the best of times.

I even have a song for it. It's a variation of these lyrics (phoenetic spelling for dramatic affect): "looooong OONTER-VARE! looooooong OONTER-VARE! my, my, my looooong OONTER-VARE! I VARE my long oonter-VARE evwee-VARE!"

(where's the singing emoticon?)

Great great great grandma Nachos was 10 when she finally calmed down enough to earn her CD and I think that was the year they introduced the CGC test, although I think she would've had to wait anyway... :p
