SuperDogs seminar...

http://superdogs.com/seminar/seminar-ok.php

I just signed Elsie up, and I hope I don't regret it! (I work with one of the instructors, so I told her to tell everyone to be nice to me...)

what will you be doing? I'm dying to know! I've never heard of superdogs so I just spent like 20 minutes looking at the website. That seems really cool!
Cash, LT and Soda. And some cats. Cats that are mean.

I'm not exactly sure, to be honest... I know it is sort of a try out for the team (which i am not doing... I'm not much of a performer!)

I think it's trying the dogs out on the equipment and learning handling for it. They have some pretty weird equipment.

I'll let you know how it goes... I'm going to try to get a few things on cue before then! See what I can do in a week and a half. I hate teaching cues, so I have a bunch of nameless behaviours that pop out now and then...

IIRC, Lizzie did a SuperDogs seminar with Nutmeg some time ago. She could probably tell you something about that one. May not be the same as the one you're going to, but it would likely give you an idea anyway.

Yes, I did one last summer. Really, really fun! :) We got to do all the SuperDogs tricks and crazy tunnels and relays. I had a blast.

However, I did find the day just too long and intense for Nutmeg and she just gave up by the end. They also handle eachother's dogs, so Nutmeg had to be held by strangers, which she *really* didn't like. They weren't rough or anything, but in their shows they do hang on to the dogs while the handler gets in position, so Nutmeg had to endure quite a lot of other people holding her, moving her around, etc. She wasn't wild about that but overall she had a good experience

aak, I don't like other people handling my dogs. I don't trust anyone! lol
but this is just a couple of hours not a day-long, so I imagine it will be the 'simplified' version of what you did... ie. no one else touches my dog... (insert cowboy face here)

Two hours would be ideal. A whole day was a LOT.
