I haven't read it, I'm just wondering if it's worth ordering in?

Excellent Bari, I'll have to check that out on line to get an overview.

I was a little intrigued by the write up on "The truth about dogs" it is written by a scientist/journalist. He talks in the same manner as Raymond Coppinger in the book "Dogs". I think a scientist view point on dogs IMO is fasinating.

I have this book, and enjoyed it very much. It is scientific and interesting-- brings some new angles to old arguments. I loved the section on what dogs 'see'- and shows pictures of what we would see in a scene (colours) and then what THEY see...
I would buy it again- just to have it around to read bit and pieces once in awhile.

Yes, I have it and I've read it several times. I think it's quite good, but of course I would -- the author's dog is a Sheltie.

Bari, I will be interested to hear what you think of "Bones Would Rain" after you read it. I buy almost every dog book when it comes out, and I keep the ones I like and give away the ones I don't. I kept "The Truth About Dogs" and didn't keep "Bones Would Rain From the Sky." I'll save my thoughts on it until after you've read it, though.
