California pet friendly Guides

Postby myguys » Wed Aug 09, 2006 2:06 pm

This is a book forum but I'm not sure if this goes here.

Does anyone have these guides;

Dogfriendly.Com's California and Nevada Dog Travel Guide
by Tara Kain

The Dog Lover's Companion To California by Maria Goodavage

or is there a better book you use, I live in CA

The "Dog Lover's Companion to" series are really good. I don't own them, but I've skimmed them in B&N before trips (I really should break down and buy one. )

Thanks Jen, I don't like to travel , mainly because I hate leaving my dogs, makes my husband crazy. So maybe if I get books that show nice places we can go and take the dogs he'll be so happy I'm will to go somewhere he'll be ok with taking the dogs.

I pretty much only use the web version posted at
http://www.dogfriendly.com/server/trave ... ides.shtml

Quigley gets to come along as often as possible and he enjoys travelling and visiting new places as much as we do.

You *have* to check out this place: www.crystalwoodlodge.com

It's near Crater Lake & Klamath Falls in Oregon. It's a dog-friendly B&B with tons of fun dog-friendly activities nearby. It was so much fun when we went. (It's also the place where Roscoe got "lost" for an hour 'cause we were stupid. "Lost" is in quotation marks 'cause he would beg to differ. He knew exactly where he was the whole time. We just didn't know where he was. )
