In utero development of canine fetuses - for kids!

Postby Calypso » Mon Feb 03, 2014 8:24 pm

So you guys are really good at knowing or finding resources for this kind of thing. Bug has decided she would like to do her science project on how a canine fetus develops. I figure we can go week by week and then, because I'm the dog trainer, we'll also hit on some important physical and psychological milestones in a dog's first year.

I'm pretty much looking for interesting pictures to print out and if I'm lucky, some text that Bug could actually understand, so at an 8th grade reading level or lower.

I don't know how to judge grade-level suitability, I'm guessing this may be too juvenile, but something like this?

Puppy Development

or video?

the article on gestation on the Royal Canin website has neat graphics but is a nuisance to navigate.
