Run free, Mitzi

Postby emmas_mom » Sat Mar 04, 2017 7:48 am

My precious little Mitzi passed away yesterday at age sixteen. She taught me so much about the joys of little dogs, and she made me laugh with her "Play with me, Mama!" antics. Her favourite activity, other than walks with lots of good sniffing, was chasing me around the house. :) I shall miss her so much. For the first time in 35 years, my home is now dogless. I never thought one tiny little dog could leave such a big hole. Here's a link to my blog about her life: https://mylifewiththecritters.blogspot. ... d-day.html

Oh I'm so sorry Jean...sweet Mitzi, run free...I know (almost) how you feel. I went from having 300 pounds of dog in the house to 50...it feels so empty and wrong...

A beautiful tribute, Jean. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was sure a sweet and happy little one. Godspeed, sweet Mitzi.

I'm so sorry Jean. I can imagine the hole she leaves in your heart and your home.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Jean. Your tribute is beautiful, and I'm glad you and Mitzi had these wonderful years together and that you enjoyed her playful, bubbly personality.

I know all too well what you are going through with continuing to catch yourself starting part of Mitzi's care routine and realizing she's gone because the same is happening with me with the routines that filled my days that are no longer needed. :( For a few days I was like one of those ducks in the shooting gallery that goes one way, spins around and back the other way, rinse & repeat...like that bouncing around the house.

We've had too many losses of ODO dogs lately. It's much too much to bear. :(

One of the loveliest tributes I have ever read. She had such sparkle. Sorry for your loss, Jean. Run free, dear Mitzi.
