Sweet Choo-Choo has gone to the bridge

Postby Emily » Mon Feb 08, 2016 3:46 pm

It is inevitable when you have pets that one day you will lose them. It just seems so hard to comprehend, though when you've had them for so long, and they've been such a big part of your life. That reality hit us this past weekend, though, when we had to make the decision to let our girl, Choo-Choo go. She has had some kidney issues for a while, but she did well with it. However, last week, it caught up with her and she grew weak and tired. We decided to let her go Saturday. She has most certainly left a huge empty spot in our home. I didn't realize how big of an impact she had on our lives. We sure miss her :frown:

Aww Emily I'm so sorry. Brutus must have been the happiest boy at The Bridge when she got there. Good thoughts for you guys. Run free, Choo Choo.

Choo-Choo will be missed on here too. Seeing pictures of her always made me smile.

Choo Choo was around when I started the board so many years ago. Sorry to hear she is gone.

Thanks, everyone. Its hard to believe she's already been gone nearly a week. Even tonight, I looked at her empty bed and almost asked DH where she had gone. She has been in my life so long, it is going to take a bit to get used to her not being there. No one here is a stranger to that, though - everyone knows the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet. I am so thankful, though, that I had her in my life.
