Gah. I can't stand it. This is a sibling, or maybe mine, I don't know. But this baby is from my litter. So stinkin' cute! Sorry if I'm overloading with puppy pictures. I'm excited.

How could you NOT be excited, they are totally adorable! Do I remember that you wanted a Wirehaired Vizsla, and is that what these pups are?

4 1/2 weeks! And as it turns out, I am flying out to pick him and a sibling up! What an adventure! The other family in LA is helping with travel costs and so it's going to be about even for me to fly vs shipping them alone. It cuts their travel time by over 30 hrs so, much less stress for them. Can't wait!

The breeder names them their pedigree name. We can call him whatever we want though. I'm waiting to hear his official name (and which one is mine) before I even think about call names. I've always been partial to Logan though. We'll see. :)

Now Emmet is in the running. Thanks to the Lego movie. I do like it though and Emmet's clothes are orange, so it might fit. Lol. Here's a few new pics. Five weeks old yesterday and three weeks from go time!

Very subtle differences, but black collar looks like he may have more coat in a richer color. And his face is more square. I like his stop and square muzzle and eye set. I don't know how he compares to the standard. I just like his look so far and I think he favors his dad more. Two weeks til she picks. Not sure if she just says who I get or if she asks my opinion or what. I always have the right to say pass if I decide I want to wait and my deposit will roll over. Not sure about my plane tickets though. :D

They're both cute. Sounds like they're the same age as the pups we're looking at.

Hopefully she can tell you more about their temperaments too. Are they going to be temperament tested?

Yes, temperament is essential of course. No official temperament testing, just her own evaluation. I only have looks to go by at this point. I am glad to get to go meet them and see temperaments and compare them personally too.

Yes. Wonderful opportunity. Another family is getting a puppy in LA and they are giving me their shipping money to go get their puppy too. It will cut the puppies' travel time by about 22 hours. They aren't able to make the trip so I get to go as with their money it makes the cost about the same for me. I'm super excited!!

I know. Crazy, right? If the puppies come alone, it takes them 2 full days. They have to spend the night in Amsterdam. I don't know how that works exactly because I would be super uncomfortable with unknown airline staff opening the crate anyway, but basically it takes them 48 hours. With me, they will still travel cargo, but the total travel in the plane is 16 hours. Slightly longer in their crate, but much less than the alternative. And good grief... my math was off. 32 hours cut by coming with me. I could take my own puppy in the cabin with me, but I am not sure I want to do that to the poor other puppy who would then fly alone. I don't know. I may change my mind when I get there.

16 hrs in a large crate with a littermate might be less stressful and uncomfortable than 16 hrs in a carrier bag with a human you've just met.
