Great new housesitter!

Postby maxs_mommy » Fri Sep 26, 2014 10:03 pm

Who is 19, still living at home, working at the mall and eventually wants to go to vet school? My housesitter! Yay! She's our friend's oldest daughter. We went out of town last weekend and she was fabulous! Meghan wore Max out, sent us selfies with the boys, stuck to Max's diet/treats and we didn't come home to raging ear infections! I am so relieved after our last vacation debacle. She's a little quirky, evidenced by asking, in all seriousness, if we had garlic hanging from the attic string in the garage to ward off vampires (It's curing from being picked) and she had her boyfriend over, which we told her was fine so they made Mii's on our game console and watched netflix. She just makes me chuckle and has pretty open availability. Oh, and she asked me if we overpaid her, lol. I didn't think $30 a day was unreasonable considering the boys and Max's eye drops. I think this will work out nicely. She's staying with the boys when we go to Vegas in October too.

Yay! What a relief. I told my girls they can plan on putting themselves through college by being *responsible* in home pet sitters.

That's such a huge relief! A good pet sitter is worth his/her weight in gold.

That is such a relief to have the peace of mind for when you go away.

Awesome! You've hit the housesitter jackpot! Loves your dog and is competent and cheap!

I am so glad we found her. Our last housesitter/friend didn't go so well, for either of us I suspect, so it's nice to have someone to trust. She won't get rich off us but it's extra cash while she works her day job.
