It was good! It was really just a paperwork thing - all the forms have to be filled in, t's crossed and i's dotted. Then we spent a couple of hours visiting. Henry is adorable.
He has a couple of other applications, but he hasn't been medically cleared for adoption yet, so it's really just a matter of waiting, or seeing if there is another dog that seems like a good fit.
We've adopted out a lot of dogs lately, so there aren't many waiting in foster care right now (which is a good thing!) A few that aren't ready for adoption, one that is only so so with other dogs (I want a dog that's dog friendly so that the option of a second or third down the road some day isn't off the table), and one that's battling some pretty medical issues so is likely a forever foster. Of course, those are only the ones I know about; there are others that aren't posted yet for various reasons but might be available for me to adopt if it seems like a good fit.
