Heather took mine.

You run across a loose dog and have treats and a leash for catching him even though your dogs are at home.

You evaluate potential car purchases by dog standards.

You think more about what your dog will like for his/her birthday than you do for most of your extended family.

People who hang with you for any length of time also talk about your dog like he/she is your child, just like you do.

... when you own a single dog, 12 crates, and more dog gear than will fit into a generously sized 8-drawer dresser.

Mostly ^ that. :)

Your co-workers preface their invitation to join them for happy hour/dinner after work with 'we know you won't come b/c your dogs are waiting for you...'

Good one, Sherri! When you take all your crates to buy a new vehicle making sure you can get them all fitted properly. And you don't have any "normal" friends, just dog ones. Those are the best anyway!

... A variation on a theme, but ... When you make the car dealer PROVE to you that the car you're looking at will hold everything you need for a weekend terrier trial.
