Interest in Foster...again!

Postby Emily » Tue May 03, 2005 2:10 pm

Well, I never heard back from the lady in my town that was interesed. BUT...I just got an email the other day from a lady in Montgomery (close by) that is interested.

She has a Dane mix and just moved from her mom's house to a place of her own. Now her dane mix doesn't have another dog to play with and she want a companion for him.

She is about to start the second level of obedience with her other dane, so I'm sure she will work with Foster too. Her obedience instructor is the one I used for Brutus.

Foster will be an indoor couch potatoe, but he will have a decent sized yard for when he wants to be outside. If all goes well, we will be meeting this weekend!

Please keep fingers and toes crossed for Foster!

A couch, yard, and a Dane-ish buddy too! Sounds perfect. Fingers, toes, paws, and hooves all crossed and double crossed.

I've got even better news! The lady that is coming to look at Foster (I have a feeling she will adopt him too) is friends with some friends of mine. What a small world!

If it all works out, I'll probably get to see him some!

Woo hoo!! That's GREAT news!! So can your friend let you know what kind of person this is as far as a dog mom is concerned as a kind of double-check?

Fingers and paws crossed it works out!!!

Oh Em, that's wonderful. I pray this works out for Foster! He deserves a good home, and it will be even better if you can still visit him!

Well, it is official! Foster has a new home! Foster will stay with me one more week so she can finish painting. He will be going to his forever home next Sunday.

Her dog is so sweet. She rescued him from a bad situation. He is part Great Dane, and part presumably hound. He has huge ears. She said the mama Dane (merle) was in a dirty pen with a male basset. Lucas, her dog, doesn't have basset'y legs, so I doubt he has basset in him. (Aren't the short legs dominant?) But she said one of his sisters was merle like the mom, and short like the basset. Anyway, Foster will be starting obedience classes toward the middle of May with her.

It is amazing how much Lucas and Foster look alike in the face. Lucas just has bigger ears.

Here is Lucas:
