Re: Maybe I should shave Orion....

No worries Qbert, I would never shave Orion. I was totally just kidding with the title. While brushing out my beast last night I thought of nekkid Freddy and Landis and was slightly jealous though!! lol

I wouldn't trade my German Shedder for anything in the world :)

Re: Biggest lab i ever did see....

Sadly...there is a chocolate lab that frequents my dog park that is twice the size of that dog if you can believe it. He literally looks like a whale with legs, and the worst part is the owner BRAGS about his size!! Saying things like "yeah my dog never goes hungry" and "he's not fat he's well loved...

Re: What do you think of French Bulldogs?

Thanks Heather and Emily, the bulldog play is something I am very familiar with. I babysit a (rather unruly) English Bulldog regularly. He's a great guy, just had absolute zero training when he was younger, which is unfortunate because if his humans put some effort into him he would have been (and w...

What do you think of French Bulldogs?

Anyone have any first hand experience with these guys? Generally good temperament, easy going? Confident (when raised right) to try new things? Think they would be able to keep up with a GSD okay? At least on just regular walks and dog park visits. What about train-ability? Are they super hard heade...

Re: my mommy dresses me funny... :(

Oh no! Poor Twitch! Orion FEELS your pain with the hematomas...he had them in both ears a few years ago and they were horrible, huge, and uncomfortable. I wound up draining them everyday with a syringe for a few days because they kept filling back up and filling back up. I finally took him in and he...

Re: Bestbullysticks.com coupon

Braided bully sticks scare the holy crap out of me...I don't know if I got a bad batch, or it's just the way my dogs chew...but about an inch and a half got stuck in Orion's throat one time and he started choking and gagging and I had to literally stick my entire hand down his throat to pull out the...

Re: Bestbullysticks.com coupon

You guys are so lucky that bully sticks last so long for your dogs...my boys can literally destroy/devour/chew through a 12 inch bully stick in 15 minutes....I think Orion's record is 7 min if he's really excited...the only thing that lasts for days around here is nylabones....

Fish Oil causing more harm than good?

Hello! So back in December when Orion went under for his dental and the vet found fistulas, I had ordered Sea Pet Omega 3 Fish Oil with vitamin E and started him on it, I wanna say right before Christmas...by early/mid January I noticed a SEVERE increase in his itching, especially his shoulder blade...

What about maybe thinking about taking him to a neurologist? Maybe it has nothing to do with anxiety or nausea and it's a tick or something he's developed from something going on in his head? I don't mean to freak you out...that's just what popped into my head, just throwing the idea out there... So...

Re: NDR: Two cats w/ Kidney Disease

My oldest cat is 14 and has kidney disease as well. He ate Evo too for quite a few years, but I switched him to Wellness indoor health when he was diagnosed and he does very well on it. It has the lowest protein, ash, and phosphorous I could find. My cat will eat canned food though, we do the Wellne...

I'm still blown away by your vet :( SO AM I!!!!!!! This is a woman who has treated and cared for this dog since he was 6 WEEKS OLD. Re: Back from a dental...bloodwork woes, and fistulas...

I know I am searching high and low for a vet...the one had a 6 week waiting list, the other was $300 just for a 'consultation conversation' ....I was hoping the PF list could lead me to a good doctor... I do have an appointment on Tuesday for him with the other hospital that I usually only use for E...

Re: Back from a dental...bloodwork woes, and fistulas...

I will try to get pictures, but I literally have to pry his butt open just to get to the little sores to put the Panolog on them, so I don't know how much a picture will be able to show. Yes, the vet said herself Perianal Fistula, but they look absolutely nothing like any of the pictures I have been...

Re: Back from a dental...bloodwork woes, and fistulas...

The different vet we saw yesterday was really no help...she said the reason he was acting off is because he was still coming out of the anesthesia (over 24 hours later?) and his favoring of his back end I am seeing was his arthritic hind leg acting up, so she gave me some Rimadyl for a few days...I'...
