Griffin really liked that. His lovey/comfort item is a stuffed turtle and it's one of the only real words he said. I scrolled through trying to find more tortoise pics for him, but didn't see any.

Oh the timing! I hope it isn't too much of an ordeal. I've never owned an intact dog but first heats never sound like fun especially in a multidog household.

I left 6 stuffed kongs and stuffable rubber bones in a hotel minifridge once when we travelled to a herding clinic. That was a BUMMER.

I don't do hard crates anymore because my dogs love leaning against the sides of a soft crate to sleep- so much more comfy.
