Re: Healthwise active

I'm glad you've found something that works for her.:)
I've had good experiences with Healthwise in the past, both my dogs seem to like it and you sure can't beat the price.

Re: Goopy eyes - is this a problem?

I would treat it. I use over the counter human eye ointment. My vet said that was fine. It cleared up in a few days. If it doesn't get better quick or there's any chance there's a foreign body in there, or you're concerned you could take him in there.

Re: Skipping breakfast?

Sammy's never been a morning hguy. I think he'd prefer to be a lunch and dinner eater rather than breakfast and dinner. Maybe you could feed him when you get home from work and then before bed?

I'm so sorry Dawn, though I'm glad Mr. Y has come around and that you can spare her a stressful trip to the vets. I hope you can get a housecall soon.

Re: Back injury questions

<t>I would consider a chiropractor look at her too if there's somebody good in your area. When Sammy's back goes out it can be quite dramatic and he almost won't be able to put weight on his one hiing leg and adjustment can get him back to normal really quickly and seems to bring instant relief.<br/...
It doesn't seem ridiculous at all. :( I've cried over people's dogs that I've never met.
That made me giggle and feel better for the split second that it took me to remember that I do too!

never check good friend's dog blogs right before bed

My friend, the one who turned me into the dog nerd I am today, lost a really special dog and I just saw the "good bye friend" entry on her blog. She's a tough cookie and tends not to say anything to anyone until she's had some time to process. It seems so ridiculous that I should be in tears over th...

I wouldn't switch suddenly from one food to another. I would get what she's been on and plan ahead if you want to switch, so you can do it gradually.
