Re: Ronan & the Vet part 2

<t>Have you got click to calm by emma parsons? or anything by Pam Dennison too. I like her method. Both of them really stress working the dog BELOW the threshold at which they'll react so that each outing is a positive, pleasant, happy experience to help build confidence. That might mean barely walk...

Re: More poopy problems

<t>I know many people here are big on fasting but for my sensitive tummied guy it makes things much worse. It's as if he gets far more nausea and then has much more trouble eating and tends to urp up bile, sometimes with blood. That may be specific to what's going on with him, but I just thought I'd...

Re: More poopy problems

in the mean time you could try slippery elm. it's cheap and seems to help practically every GI condition. I have the NOW brand in Capsule form, but I've been opening it out onto Sammy's food.
Maybe something in the Taste of teh wild isn't agreeing with her system?

Re: I'm getting really worried about Sammy

<t>I put dogs out for their last pee before bed last night and Sammy was taking a long time. I finaly poked my head out and called and he ran in. I nervously checked for poo-bum and there wasn't any. Re: I'm getting really worried about Sammy

Well Sammy has eaten two meals without coaxing and I even managed to sneak in a TBSP of pumpkin. I've only had to wash his bum once so far and he slept through the night. That's a big improvement.

[quote=connie]Oh, how worrying, I hope you get it figured out -- or the vet does -- and that it's nothing dreadful. Fill me in -- has Sammy always had a sensitive stomach? Re: I'm getting really worried about Sammy

[quote=EllaBella]No good ideas....I hope he starts feeling better soon. Does he feel the same way about other meats as he does chicken? Turkey, lean ground beef, maybe even canned salmon? 1pm and he still won't eat. I gave his stomach meds the old fashioned way so hopefully the not eating isn't exacerbating his ulcer (if that is what this is) :(
