Re: The Next Food Evolution

@Jen - "You asked for a list of trustworthy brands." I hope you do not teach "reading." Where did I ask for a list? My request was for Sabine to reply. "You will not find a friendlier, more generous, flame-free forum on the web" THE END! Not interested in any of your so called "opinions."

You all are really out-of-line IMO with your comments. Re: The Next Food Evolution

JudyL - I find your post to be totally offensive! Since I'm not a nutritionist and apparently you aren't either, I wanted an " expert's general recommendation ". It was a general question and not targeted for my dog specifically. Go back and re-read my posts. I am aware of Sabine's services, thank y...

Re: over prescribing antibiotics?

Canine Influenza (dog flu) In mild cases, dogs will show signs of mucous-producing cough, low-grade fever and green nasal discharge. The cough may remain for up to 21 days and doesn't respond to antibiotics. Some dogs may develop a more severe disease with clinical signs of pneumonia, such as a high...

Re: over prescribing antibiotics?

Are you giving probiotics to put the good bacteria back. Did your Vet do a culture to see what antibiotics Roscoe can tolerate, is dosage correct amount? You might want to get another opinion before continuing with this Vet. Are there any holistic Vets in your area?

Re: The Next Food Evolution

Yep, I was referring to Pro Plan (Purina), sorry. Sabine doesn't recommend one particular food since dogs vary from individual to individual. She has brands that she considers trustworthy and brands that she does not consider trustworthy, and most of those can be found on DFP or in the archives here...

Re: The Next Food Evolution

Thanks. I'm pretty up on dog foods - I think I've tried most holistic brands. I was curious what Sabine's recommendations were. I found her comment re: Natural Balance great input http://www.ourdogsonline.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28648 "And while I have your attention on food here, please reconsider ...

The Next Food Evolution

http://www.petproductnews.com/marketplaces/dog-marketplace/dog-marketplace-the-next-food-evolution.aspx Sabine, on another thread you didn't recommend Natural Balance. Proof of Purchase

I was just reading "Proof of Purchase" http://www.petproductnews.com/business-builders/supply-lines/supply-lines-proof-of-purchase.aspx and was reminded of my last trip to Costco. I was really happy to see they had organic broccoli with the USDA Organic label on the front. When I turned the package ...

Heather, I had to take a nap after reading your post. High energy dogs, kids, freezing weather - what you need to do is move to So. Heather, may I ask what your lifestyle is? I think people are forgetting a dog should fit into their lifestyle otherwise it's back to the breeder or rescue group/shelter. It's good you are doing your research. My neighbor got a Havenese. Lola is just the cutest. I hardly ever see her walk the dog. S...

Have you had the thyroid checked? A dog who had/has Lyme disease can also become aggressive - so perhaps it could be a medical problem. Just sayin'
