Re: Questions to ask vet about eye removal

Hi Emily, While I really can't provide questions for you to ask the vet (there are far smarter ODO'ers on here than I for that), what I can do is tell you about my experience with eye removal. One of my Jack Russell's, Reba, had an eye condition called Primary Lens Luxation (PLL). When her right eye...

Re: What's your favourite collar? Leash?

My favorite lead is the one I use when I go hunting. It's got a metal cable covered with rubber, so the terriers (in their excitement), can't chew through it. It can wrap around a tree and snap closed, and it has swivels that won't cause the lead to twist. If another terrier is in the hole, you can ...

Can you feed dogs chia seeds? They're really high in omega 3. Just wondering.

Re: Conformation vs Working title when breeding...

Is Pixel bred to hunt something specifically? I can only relate to this as far as my terrier's are concerned. Jack Russell's were bred to hunt fox, but I am in the minority as far as members of our breed club (the JRTCA) who actually get out and hunt their dogs in a natural earth to the quarry they ...

Re: Scout has cancer

I don't think neoplasene is as expensive as chemotherapy. It also aids the immune system, rather than poisoning it like the chemo does. For Sarah to have surgery (on a Sunday BTW with the attending vet AND two assistants) to remove the cancerous tissue, the neoplasene pack for her jawbone, the bottl...

Re: Scout has cancer

I'm so sorry to hear this. I checked with Dr. Spencer about the neoplasene being used as treatment for lymphoma. This is one of the types of cancer that either treatment (chemo/neo) will work, although Art said it depends on the stage of cancer and how many nodes are involved. Fucking cancer.

Re: Cost for small tumor or wart removal?

Dr. Spencer can contact your vet and walk him through the treatment and how to use the neoplasene. I can send you his information, if you'd like. Otherwise, I do know of a vet on the mainland that would probably be very receptive to using it. After the initial treatment, I've just been keeping in co...

Re: Cost for small tumor or wart removal?

Please seriously consider using neoplasene as an injectable into the wart. This treatment has worked wonders for warts and you can see it shrink up and go away. The dog would need to be kept on the neoplasene through their diet as you don't want the cancer to come back. It's certainly working for Sa...
