Re: Are there more reactive dogs now, or am I just way more crabby?

I'm way more crabby these days, glad i'm not alone in this. As far as your classmates are concerned, I think you sort of answered your own question. Young Boxer = not getting enough exercise in general paired with NO boundaries and clueless human? Yeah, he's gonna be a jerk. I can't comment on the A...

Re: Acupuncture expectations

How is Benson doing?

I asked my chiro vet if he knows anyone in Delaware.
He does not but he suggested TCVM.COM.

I dunno, if you found a different person in your area maybe you could look for reviews on yelp.com or go meet them before taking Benson in?

Ohh sounds so neat but I understand all of your questions, too. Could you have a horse on the property?? 😉 I missed neighborhood walks when we lived in BoxerLand. I really think Gringo missed living in a 'hood, too. I think he missed seeing neighbors & dogs regularly. Pi seemed to love BoxerLand but...

I don't have much to offer but I hope you can get Benson's limp figured out. I'm sure you'll get input from others with more experience. I'm not really surprised that he had icky poo afterwards. The stress of the car ride, the heat, the visit.... gah, thank doG Gringo can't read b/c he'd have an ick...

An Award of Merit *nod* can also be given to both bitches in a class if, for example, the judge feels neither of them are worthy of anything more than that. That judge may even tell the very experienced Boxer handler that her bitch is fat. LMAO. This may or may not have happened to the handler from ...

Re: Probiotics: human grade vs dog specific

I don't have any scientific facts for you but I have given Gringo only human grade probiotics his whole life and I can absolutely see a big difference when he doesn't get them daily which tells me they are working very well for him. I used to give G Jarrow then switched to NOW brand 4x6 a few/severa...

Re: Recurring diarrhea

Yes, in humans, metro can /will cause diarrhea with prolonged use. I don't know about dogs. For Pi just one or two doses clears him up. Gringo is a different story. The last two times I've had him on Metro for 4-6 days his poo gets better after a few days then back to super icky, all while still get...

I'm so sorry. It's so much more devastating when everything goes wrong so quickly. Losing both in such a short time is insult to injury. They were gorgeous dogs, clearly you took wonderful care of them. Hemangio is a terrible, horrible beast that has taken far too many dogs with little to no warning...

See ya 'round, Fannie

They ran to back fence like they always do when going out at night. They either actually saw something or were barking at nothin...

I get more carsick in the backseat in minivans, too. Sometimes even in the front seat. Ditto what Amanda said about being able to see the horizon. For me it helps to be able to see out of all of the windows and definitely seeing turns before they happen. Is her crate on the floor or on the seat? I'd...

well, the good news is that the vet chose the proper abx so yay for that. i'm not sure what to say about MP actually needing the abx. i think i'd take MP in for another vet visit, AFTER you do warm epsom salt compresses for a few days, to see if they can express that AG w/o owies and if so they can ...
