Any of you wishing to go- it looks like we will start the trial at 10:00. It promises to be a great weekend. I am the girl with the blue costco folding chair It is a time/point deal, so it should be neat

I'm going to make a point to come and watch some of the trial, though I'm not sure what time I'll be in that area. I plan to get to the fairgrounds around 10 am, but I've got a whole list of yarn vendors to check out (must....have.....more.....yarn!) and I'm going to try to hit one the Ravelry lunch meetup as well. If you see a short round person with waist length hair looking totally in awe of the dogs and completely overwhelmed by the festival in general, that will probably be me. I'll watch for the Costco chair and come over to say hi!

Amanda, if the picture had been taken from another direction you would have seen swarms and swarms of people - no open space at all! The festival was packed, and full of all kinds of great stuff.
I got to watch 4 or 5 dogs run and it was really cool. It was neat to see how the sheep reacted differently to the different dogs, and how the dogs seemed to have different approaches and think about things differently. I wish I could have spent more time watching, but there was so much else I wanted to see and do that I couldn't watch the whole thing. It was a bit chilly standing outside with the dogs and sheep too!
I came home with some absolutely amazing cheese, some nice wine and some gorgeous yarn (including a skein of totally indulgent 100% cashmere in a rich red that I'm going to make into a scarf for myself.) It was well run (for the most part) and very well attended. I'll certainly be going back next year.
