Yes. My boy had ear yeast - vet checked under microscope and it was definately yeast. Anyway, sometimes it comes back and when it does, I use this product - vet sold it to me. If it's really really bad, then I also take q tips and have one end sitting in water and I then use the wet end to carefully pick up the yeast pieces out of the ear. I try very hard to not let it fall back into the ear canal. It has been so bad at times, that most of the upper ear area was covered. It was like a 'bloom' in that it just took over very fast. I havene't had to use it in a long time, and I don't use it unless I need to b/c I don't think we should be putting liquid into dogs ears unless there is a specific reason. You put it in, massage the base of the ear, and then dry out excess. When it was really bad, I used it several times a week. I will say that if the vet has not looked at the dog's ears, then I would hesitate to use anything. In other words, you could have something else going on, and I think the vet should make sure it's yeast and that it's ok to use a product to flush. In other words, there may be a reason that you shouldn't put anything into the ears, so make sure it's ok first. I do not know if this works for mites.
