Every fall I volunteer for a weekend to teach agility at an event run by Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New England called Camp-N-Pack. It's a full weekend of events held at a resident summer camp where you can stay in a shelter, get great meals each day, and do various fun activities with your dog. A lot of the dogs there are Mals and other northern breeds, but all dogs are welcome and usually about half of them are other breeds. It's a very low key weekend with as much down time or as much activity as you want. A highlight of the weekend is the Sat night dinner and live auction (there are also several silent auctions during the weekend). It's really inexpensive too - your shelter rental and meals and activities are only $90 for the weekend (Fri dinner to Sun lunch). Here's a link to more info: http://www.amrone.org/events/campnpack/index_2008.htmlIt really is a fun weekend with your dog(s) and I always have a great time so I thought I'd let all of you know about it too.

Oh, that sounds like fun! Too bad I'm so far away.
