I'd like to drop those in a few mailboxes on my walking route!

Cute idea! I'm lucky; I don't see any chained dogs in my neighborhood or any of the areas we walk.

We deal with a lot of people at adoptions when we ask "do you want an inside or an outside dog?" and we get the "well, dogs are supposed to be outside" thing...we have one volunteer who used to work for animal control and she gets snarky with them and says, "well, listen, we don't adopt out lawn ornaments"....so I ordered one of these buttons and plan to wear it at our adoptions and dog events. Not often do we deal with someone who chains their dog up outside, when that happens, I am sure my eyes dilate and I look like I am about to have a hissy fit when I try to react calmly.
