I know I know it isn't the best choice, but I would really like to support the local feed store. Another chain in the area has the exclusive on Innova and with hay prices the way they are things are pretty tough for the mom and pops around here. I bought a small bag yesterday to see how the dogs do on it. I'm going out of town the middle of September and odds are the dogs will be getting mainly kibble for a week, if I know my DH. Anyway the point of the post is boy do my dogs love it. They were licking the floor where the food dish had been. Scarlett was even trying to steal the other dogs food.
I got the fowl flavor because the dogs have turkey pretty regularly already and I can't imagine I would be using Quail or Pheasant as a novel protien at any point. No gas last night. We will see how poops are this morning, but so far so good.

This is good to hear, Kathleen - thanks for posting. I gave my girls a taste of Taste of the Wild when I was doggy-sitting a pup who ate it, and they loved it. I've been feeding Orijen, but feel it's time for a switch. So I've just ordered my first bag of Taste of the Wild - it should be in this week. I hope they like it as much as your dogs do!

I ordered the venison one since that's what they had already tried.

One thing I will be watching for is signs of Charley licking her feet. When she was on crap food (well, Nutro Natural Choice) a few years ago, her constant licking at her legs and paws drove me crazy. After I switched to Eaglepack and then to Orijen, the behaviour totally disappeared. I recently tried Now! (by the makers of Go!), and the foot washing reappeared within a week and continued until the bag was finished. She's back on Orijen and the foot washing has disappeared again. I have no idea what the ingredient is that caused the trouble, but it sure seems to be connected to her food and I'll be watching closely to see how Taste of the Wild affects her.
