This is Boston. I'm trying to help him, though it's not looking too good. I'm willing to transport if a rescue or foster home can be found in Florida, but ideally someone would adopt this guy, and SOON. His time is extrememly limited and so far my Florida contacts aren't jumping to help.

According to the shelter, Boston has been there for 14 months. Yes, 14 months! He is a real love, gets along great with everyone, people and dogs. The only reason they think he doesn't get adopted is a recurring case of demodex, which we all know will probably disppear entirely once he gets a real home. He is a staff favorite, which is why he's been there so long, but now a change in administration is coming, and he is considered URGENT.

He truly sounds like a gem:

*Loves to run and play!!

*Young and fun!

*Weighs 35 - 40 pounds

*Gets along with other dogs

*Great disposition!

*Has lots of energy!!

After spending more time on this than my job today, I think it's all worked out. Starfish BC rescue will take him, we have a foster home in Orlando. The shelter manager is awesome and will take the dog to meet W, who will start him on the transport, I've got two other people lined up and I probably will take the last leg, unless foster mom does it. Beats driving to AL, which was my plan first thing this morning. Now we just work out the logistics, but the shelter manager said we have time, he is not URGENT as I was led to believe. He should be out of the shelter by this weekend, or next weekend at the latest.
