HELP! Two puppies in my care/Palm Harbor, Florida

I've got two female pit/boxer (?) puppies in my care at the moment. Amanda rescued them from some man that had them outside with no shelter, food, or water. She called Animal Control and they made the guy give them food and water and two weeks to do something with them. Well the guy called Amanda and gave her the puppies. I'm almost positive they were used as bait dogs for fighting. They've got scars and puncture wounds all over them. Too large to be puppy bites. Now I am at my sister's (my parents wouldn't let them stay there. They don't seem to understand my need/want to help every being on this Earth, especially puppies) they are in a crate in her garage. My friend and I named them Dublin (front) and Clodagh (back.) What lies in tomorrow, I don't know. The possibilities; Use my own $$ to get them vetted, rehomed, fed, etc (finding someone to foster them.) Find a rescue to take them Take them to a nokill shelter And who knows what else. Anyone that has any ideas, wants to help, or can take them... please feel free to contact me. threemuttlies (AT) yahoo.com Wish me luck. Damn I wish my heart wasn't so big.

Oh they ARE cute!! I hoe you can find a spot for them to go. Aren't APBTs illegal in most parts of Florida?? (I definitely could be wrong about that....)
But, at least they have some tampons to play with! (sorry, darlin', but I couldn't resist!)

Kay, the first thing I would do is search the internet to see if there is a pitti/bully breed/or boxer rescue in my area and to contact them - they certainly look like a bully/boxer cross.
Second choice is to call some no-kill facilities.
Third choice is to envision your family with growing by two - with two of the cutest, most "won't you please adopt me" faces imaginable. Heheheheheh!

Kay, I'll send their pics to my pitty friend and see if she knows anyone who can help. I'm glad you and Amanda are helping them.

I got them vet checked today, cost me quite a bit out of my pocket but oh well.
They have tapeworms and Demodex. I am treating them for both. Dublin weighs 21 pounds and Ireland (Clodagh) weighs 22 pounds.
The puppies and I are currently at my friends house for tonight. We have someone that can take them and foster them.

Yay! I'm glad they have a foster home! And nothing seriously wrong with them that can't be readily treated.

I'm glad to hear you found a foster home. My friend hasn't responded to my email so far.

As of last night, new foster mommy and daddy were seriously thinking about keeping them -- and have already chosen favorites. I really hope they do. It would be so awesome. It's a friend ofa friend's so I KNOW I'd be able to see them again. They said they'd keep the names too.
Ireland had gotten really attached to me, Dublin too. Sarah was commenting on how Dublin would look directly at me while we walked together. On leash outside, on leash in the store, etc. Ireland was a bit more skiddish, was more afraid of things where Dublin was a bit more outgoing and seemed more intent on things. Dub is certainly going to be a dog that likes fetch.
I miss my girls already!
They have plans of going out today and buying them diamond studded collars, leashes, beds, etc. I have a feeling they found their forever home.

That made me laugh but only because my van is way worse. I'm glad it's all working out so well. They sure are cute!

As of now, I am very unsure as to whether or not the puppies havea place to stay. I will not go into details as it's none of my business really, however, I need a backup plan. Rescues are full, none of my friends/aquantances/family can take them. They may very well end up in the shelter. Can anyone in the Florida area help? PLEASE email me threemuttlies [at] yahoo.com I've got a lot of sh*t on my plate right now and I'm currently taking care of my grandparents. This is the last thing I needed.
