Hey all!
Raffy and I had our first agility trial this weekend and I couldn't be more pleased with my good boy! We trialed with ADAA (probably our equivalent to your USDAA??) Raffy has only been doing agility since feb this year, but has picked it all up very fast and has been very consistantly running nicely in class, so I let my friend talk me into entering this trial with her.

It was a 2 day trial and we entered 6 events, all height catogories are placed seperatly, there was usually about 5 dogs competing against us in maxi. Elementary is the lowest level, no weaves or seesaw. Starters has no seesaw still but 12 weaves in both jumping and agility.

Sat
Combined Elementary Maxi Agility - Clear and 1st place
Combined Starters Maxi Agility - 5 faults (knocked bar otherwise clear)
Combined Starters Maxi Jumping - Clear and 2nd place

Sun
Combined Elemetary Maxi Jumping - 5 faults (knocked bar otherwise clear)
Combined Starters Maxi Jumping - Clear and 1st place
Combined Starters Maxi Agility - Clear and 1st place (only team out of all heights to run that course clear)

I am still trying to figure out if we earnt a title from all that or not, its a tad confuseing

We had alot of fun, and if we were not officially addicted to agility before... we are now

Thanks for reading!!

Michelle (who is still grinning like this ) and Raffy (who is lieing at my feet squeeking the ball he won )

P.S I have videos of most of our runs but don't have the software here to play them let alone edit them to post \:\( hopefully I will sort that out soon and share a run or 2 \:\)

Congratulations! Agility is very warning they should pass out a warning before the first class. I'm glad you did well and had fun!

Yay team Raffy. You have worked so hard with your boy and look how it paid off. Did you get a ribbon at the trial, along with the ball? Congrats!

Congratulations!!!!!! I know the feeling. It's why agility is so addictive.

Thanks guys

Bari, no ribbons, just pass cards and prizes (balls and stuff mostly, I went with balls \:\/ )

Ok I found out we can't bring our higher level passes down for the low level title (BAAD) but we are only 1 clear run away from the second title (AAD) so it looks like we will be running in intermediate level before too long, I think we will start competing in that as well, just to get into it before we are forced up a level.

Michelle (who is even still grinning like this ) and Raffy (who has destroyed the squeaker in the ball, but still chewing )
