Some time ago, Danielle - my coworker - found a starving and bony pit puppy. Took him in, nursed him back to health, named him Turner (she has a Hooch). He has been vaccinated and neutered and he's ready for a forever home.
I met this boy for the first time this weekend and I can't believe what a nice dog he is. I'm not a "pitbull" person (they're just not my thing, although there are many that i admire). But I LOVE him. I'm pretty sure he's a Bull Terrier mix from his triangular slanted eyes and thick skin on his muzzle. If I didn't have four animals in an apartment, I'd snatch him.
We think he's about 7 months old (he had baby teeth when he was found). He's a diminuative boy - Danielle, in the picture with him, is only about five feet tall, for a size comparison. Turner is submissive around other dogs. cuddles with her cats. will play all day. he's just too friggin sweet. He'd go great in a home with other dogs, cats, probably fine with children.
If anyone knows someone in the NYC area looking for a sweet active dog to add to their family, Turner is waiting!

I love his coloring. Hooray for your friend for helping this guy. I'm sure he'll find a great home.

bump Did Turner find a forever home yet? I wish Yintzy saw this. Maybe she knows of someone.

well... he had to switch foster mothers because Danielle's landlord was ready to kick them out due to his barking. But he was turned over to another of our bathers to foster for a while. She's got two pitties, one of which is on the older side. And from what i hear, Turner fit right in so he might be becoming a permanent resident.
