My friend is looking for a Shih Tzu. She is O.K. with an older dog, but preferably not an old dog. She wants it to be healthy. She doesn't plan to breed the dog.

We have looked at a couple of breeders on the web and ???

She is a kind, caring, considerate person. Her cat of many years passed away a-couple-of-years ago. She took exceptional care of him. She is a wonderful grandmother to her daughter's lab/basset mix and MS (both rescues) and dogsits at her daughter's house when they are out of town.

The puppy will be an only dog. There are no children in the house. Just my friend and her husband.

Suggestions? Ideas, input??

We have two in our rescue...Bandit and Prissy. YOu can see their pics on our website...www.fayettehumane.org. We don't generally adopt out of state, but sometimes exceptions are made.

There are tons on petfinder. It would sure be nice if she could adopt a rescue!

I have spent the day looking at rescues of all kinds. I cannot get over how many dogs there are at say, ten years old. I want to bring them all home. If I had money, they would live in loving green splendor and have scritches, games and good munchies.

I was surprised to see that the original Batman and Robin have a rescue organization. That is wonderful of both of them.
