Just checking in - today marks 1 month since it's been sent. I really don't know how postage is up there, is this the normal wait?

Remind me to put something about sending early/first class mail on yours next time. \:p

I didn't go to the post office yesterday, but went the day before. Not here yet.

Let me repeat: it must not just be first class, it must be Priority Mail. That is the only way to really get me a package. Priority Mail takes five days from down there to get here, so no early sending needed.

Some packages I sent from New Mexico to myself when I moved here took 2-3 weeks, and that was media rate (books). And some of those never arrived at all.

Unless it is at the PO Box today it has probably been stolen or lost. OR is on a barge and won't be here for another two weeks for a month.

Jean - I am really sorry this happened. I will get another box out to you this week.

I have had a few things shipped in from Canada and they have taken weeks to get to me. I honestly did not know that it had to be sent priority.

Will you kill me if I tell you no? It is sitting here waiting for my hubby to get the camera in order and for my house to empty of dogs (I have 7 right now) so my guys can enjoy it by themselves. Please don't be mad!

lol I won't kill you! Just glad I didn't put anything perishable in there...at least I don't think I did... \:p

No rush--I'd rather you open it when you can get us some pictures, and when you guys have some down time to enjoy the gifts!

I didn't know mail to Alaska was so difficult. I guess Alaska and Canada have more in commom than snow and cold temperatures \:p I buy tons of stuiff online and don't even begin to worru until after 6 weeks because that's just the joy of our lovely Canada post. \:\/

Sammy, that actually makes me feel a lot better! Now I know I'm not the only one who has to deal with slow mail.

I'm actually, literally, halfway or nearly halfway across the world from most of you. It's more than 5000 miles from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Fairbanks, Alaska. So in a glass-half-full sort of way, it's just plain wonderful that we can send packages and letters at all and have most of them get here! lol

Of course being able to be friends via the internet is also really wonderful!

Jodi: I don't know how you can let the box just sit there and not open it. My curiosity just wouldn't let me do that! lol

It would be nice if you resent, but of course maybe just the fact that you are intending to do that will make the original package reappear.....that's how it works, right?

Was there anything perishable in it? Or anything that couldn't be frozen? (I don't need to know exactly what, just if there was anything like that--because if it shows up for sure it will have been frozen.)

Nope, nothing perishable per say.... there were some treats, but nothing that had any special storage instructions. I will let you know when I send out a new box... give me a few days to work on shopping \:\)

The reason why the box ix still unopened is that my life is super crazy and I did not want my guys to have to share with the rest of the crazies here. The Tru Vizslas deserve to have something of their own... KWIM?

I have promised to open it very soon!
